, a recording artist and performer in the Bay Area for over 15 years, Ms. Hayes' vocal experience encompasses a wide range of music including folk, gospel, motown, chamber music, rock, world music and musical theatre. Her distinctive soprano voice has been heard on the tracks of various albums, demo tapes and jingles.
, an Oakland native, is a music enthusiast who enjoys a variety of musical styles including gospel, rock, motown, R&B and Broadway shows. For the past twenty years she has lent her rich alto/soprano voice to her church choir. When not singing, Ms. Sanderson likes to play tennis, travel and watch sports of all sorts.
, a native Californian, came to the Bay Area in 1979 to complete her education at the University of California at Berkeley. Ms. McElwee's musical background is rich with a variety of experiences that include symphony & choral music, musical theatre and lead/backing vocals for bands. She has also recorded background vocals for many Bay Area musicians. Ms. McElwee has performed with the a cappella group Street Sounds and was a member of the vocal jazz group Deploy Joy. In 1996 she was a featured performer at the Winter Concert of the Lesbian and Gay Chorus of Washington, DC.
, (Dr. Tim) a songwriter extraordinaire, is the principal arranger and composer for the sextet. As one who has been singing and playing piano since the age of two, Dr. Tim has been trained classically in piano and voice. He likes gospel, blues, motown and country music. Given a choice, Dr. Tim prefers to write songs about love gone bad. A Berkeley native wanna-be, Dr. Tim lives in the flatlands with his dog and partner.
is called the "One Mouth Band" for a good reason. He makes all the sounds of a band by himself, and often all at once! Whether it's bass, guitar, horns or the ever-popular drums and percussion, it all comes from this one amazing mouth. When not singing with The Irrationals, Sam performs solo and entertains his audience with a seamless blend of jazz, rock, R&B, blues, reggae and outstanding musical improvisations that absolutely soar! Sam lives and performs regularly around the San Francisco Bay Area. He is also an actor, voice talent, teacher, and web designer.
